Rio Ferdinand reveals who was harder to defend against between Luis Suarez and Karim Benzema

Luis Suarez and Karim Benzema are two of the deadliest strikers in the world right now, but who would you say is better?

90% of people would argue that you need look no further than this season's scoring statistics.
The Barcelona forward netted 59 goals in 53 games on his way to winning Europe's golden boot.
While the Real Madrid hitman buried 28 in 35 appearences.

A reasonable tally for the Frenchman, but absolutely nothing on the Uruguayan.

Others would argue that it's not just about goals, and that Benzema's bullish quality brings more to the game.

But what does Rio Ferdinand think?

The former Manchester United defender has played against both strikers and revealed in the video above who he found it harder to defend against.

He said: "From personal experience of playing against both of them players, I found it harder to play against him [Benzema]"

Ferdinand added that Benzema's "cute" and efficient style play drags defenders out of position, allowing fellow team-mates to exploit the space.
