The duo of Prince Marshall Onyekachi Onyia and Prince Biosa Onyia Anthony, who jointly run Grasshopper group in Festac, Lagos have explained reasons for signing Y-emzy, a 15-Yr old rapper, on their newly floated record label.

According to Pulse, Biosa, who is in charge of the entertainment arm of the group, disclosed that the rap act was noticed at the Night of Ensemble, which holds at the Grasshopper Place.
“I’m a professional DJ and the MD of the bar, restaurant and night club known as Grasshoppers Place. We have an event tagged Night of Ensemble where we promote upcoming music acts and recognize the famous music acts.
It was one of those nights that I spotted Y-emzy and his lyrics, appeal and swag appealed to me.
I got talking to him and we spoke at length and after series of meeting, the management decided he was worth it, hence, he’s the first act signed on the record label,” Biosa aka DJ Yosir divulged. On running the company, Marshall, the eldest of the Onyia princes, was quick to chip in that he handles the company alongside Biosa.
‘Biosa is the MD The Grasshopper Place, as well as a director at our other companies that include Hotel Afrikaans, Hoppers Homes Realtors as well as our DJ/Music production school amongst other business interests.
We have equal share in our businesses but as you know he’s more of the entertainment person, so I leave him to be directly in-charge while I oversee where my area of specialization lies.
We have been running this businesses for over a decade and now, we are trying to showcase our strength and capabilities to the world at large,’ Marshall, who was formerly based in Netherlands noted.
When queried about their look which is largely characterised with beards, the brothers attributed the look to their father.
'It's interesting but I will say it was something we picked up from our father while growing up. He is a man who enjoys keeping his beards and it just became a natural thing for us to grow beards and we just maintain the beards,' Marshal divulged.
The Grasshopper Group is one of the most popular entertainment company in Festac Town with its one stop entertainment outfit popularly referred to as Grasshopper Place.
