Nollywood actor and movie director, Kunle Afolayan, has released a disclaimer directed at social media account impersonators, who are using his name to rip off fans on Facebook.
Afolayan warned his fans to be wary so as not to fall for the tricks of people pretending to be him, also stating that any Facebook account that is not verified is not his.
This what he said
"Hi friends,fans and followers, kindly help spread this picture and note as it's become alarming how the imposters are using my name to do scams."
"My only genuine Facebook account is the one with the blue verified mark, the rest of the accounts below the verified one are fake."
"Someone called my attention to one of the fake accounts today where the imposter promised people laptops, iPad and many things. See next pictures for such example..."
Kunle Afolayan is a fast growing movie director, who has been part of a unofficial movement that is currently changing the Nigeria movie industry, through carefully crafted story lines and high video quality.
He takes after his father, Adeyemi Afolayan, who was also into movies.
A course at the prestigious New York Film Academy has added to Kunle Afolayan's dexterity as a movie producer and director.
