'APC has nothing to offer Nigeria but hardship,' party Chieftain says

The politician expressed confidence that the PDP will win the Presidential election in 2019 and return Nigeria back to its glory.

A Chieftain of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, Chief Sunny Onuesoke has said that by 2019, when the opposition would have taken over power from President Muhammadu Buhari, the All Progressives Congress (APC) would apologise to Nigerians for deceiving them.

Onuesoke, who was reacting to a statement made by a chieftain of the APC that Nigerians would beg Buhari to retain his seat 2019, said the ruling party made deceptive promises just to get to power, and after brought hardship on the country.

He stated this while speaking to a group of journalists in Abuja, on Friday, June 3.

The politician expressed confidence that the PDP will win the Presidential election in 2019 and return Nigeria back to its glory, which they had benefited from the party before.

These, according to him, include adherence to rule of law, low inflation rate, provision of power, low exchange rate, cheap fuel, provision of cheap food which are currently lacking under Buhari.

"The truth is that people are suffering a lot of hardship now but this was not the promise. The campaign promise was to bring down the cost of fuel, create jobs, naira to be at par with dollar, provide electricity and other social which have presently become illusive,” he lamented.

He stressed that present situation in the country proves that the APC do not have anything good to offer Nigeria and Nigerians.7
