Aigbogun Backs Enyimba To Retain NPFL Title, Praises MFM

Enyimba coach Paul Aigbogun believes his side are still in the race to defend their Nigeria Professional Football League title.
Aigbogun also praised his side’s opponents in Wednesday’s week 16 Nigeria Professional Football League clash, MFM FC, for their impressive display in the goalless encounter.

Wednesday’s draw extended Enyimba’s unbeaten run to four games and Aigbogun insisted his side can still successfully defend the title they won last season.
“We have improved from where we were at the start of the season but we can still do better,” Aigbogun said.
“I strongly believe we can still challenge for the title.”
Both sides wasted clear-cut chances to win the game, with the hosts who are making their debut appearance in the top flight dominating for major part of the tie played at the Agege Stadium, Lagos.
Aigbogun was particularly delighted with the Olukoya Boys’ bravery and their determination to win the game.
“MFM are a good side and they proved that against us,” the former Warri Wolves coach .
“They are an attacking side and they proved that with the way they approached the game.
“They also have some exceptional players in their squad and I must say they will compete well in the league this season.”
