Helen Mirren pays touching tribute to Prince with a temporary symbol tattoo and a purple gown at the White House Correspondents' Dinner

Helen Mirren looked stunning at the White House Correspondents dinner in a gorgeous lace dress by Dolce and Gabbana.

The actress had the touching idea to pay tribute to Prince by choosing a purple coloured frock, along with sporting a temporary tattoo of the artist's love symbol on her chest.

She recently called Prince a 'great artist' who she admired.

We've spotted Helen wearing this gown before back in 2012 at the International Film Awards where she won an award for her outstanding contribution to world cinema. The fact she chose to wear it again now shows it clearly has sentimental value to her.
