The National President of Miyetti Allah, a Fulani socio-cultural association, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, has said that only state governors can tackle the crises between them and farmers.

According to Bodejo, if state governors are serious, the frequent clashes between Fulani herdsmen and farmers will be tackled.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, May 11, 2016, Bodejo said Fulani and farmers have always been working together.

“But now, the black mailers of Fulani herders have escalated the crisis to another form without finding solution to it,” Bodejo said.
Bodejo condemned people politicizing the Fulani/farmers crisis and called on them to desist for the interest of peace and unity of Nigeria.
“During the past government of President Goodluck Jonathan, there were a lot of crisis between Fulani and farmers. People who are making the noise now did not say anything that time. Now that a Fulani man has become a President, the crises have taken a political dimension without solution.”
“I am calling on the state governors to stop using the name of Fulani to make headlines if they cannot come together to look for a lasting solution,” Bodejo said.
Bodejo further called on the Fulani leaders in the country to support the Federal government quest in finding solution to the crisis.
“We must support the security agencies to bring out the bad eggs among the Fulani,” Badejo said adding, “Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore is backing any effort by the Federal government to bring peace and harmony in the country. The two parties must embrace peace.”
