Nsofor, Onuigbo Score For Duisburg; Taiwo, Oduamadi Lose In Finland
Former Super Eagles forward Obinna Nsofor and his Nigerian team-mate Kingsley Onuegbu were on target in Duisburg’s 2-1 home win against Fortuna Dusseldorf in the German Bundesliga 2 on Friday.
Onuegbu opened the scoring on 46 minutes before Nsofor netted the second goal in the 58th minute.
The goal was Nsofor’s third in 14 appearances, while Onuegbu has scored four goals in 28 games.
In the Belgian play-offs, Joseph Akpala featured for Oostende, who defeated Zulte-Waregem 2-1 away.
Akpala was in action for 90 minutes in the encounter.
The duo of Taye Taiwo and Nnamdi Oduamadi made an appearance for HJK who lost 1-0 away to PS Kemi in the Finnish league.
While Taiwo was on throughout the duration of the game, Oduamadi replaced Lassi Lappalainen on 46 minutes.
In the Turkish league, Super Eagles defender Godfrey Oboabona was in action for Rizespor in their 2-0 home victory against Mersin.
Oboabona saw 90 minutes of game time for Rizespor.
And in Russia, Fegor Ogude and Bright Dike featured in Amkar’s 0-0 away draw against Dinamo Moscow.
Ogude was on for 90 minutes, and Dike went off for David Dzakhov in the 59th minute.
